Dr. Daniel Jerrett is Co-Founder, Managing Principal and Chief Investment Officer at Stategy Capital.  Daniel combines over 20 years of expertise in economics and finance across the public, private, and academic sectors.  He currently holds the position of Professor of Practice at the Colorado School of Mines and Chief Investment Officer at Stategy Capital, where he leads the development of a global investment research platform. Daniel has advised central banks, investment management firms, and Fortune 500 companies on best practices in quantitative modeling and has led numerous professional education programs around the world. He sits on the J.P. Morgan Center for Commodities & Energy Management Advisory Board helping develop curriculum in the areas of data analytics, trading, and risk management.

Daniel is recognized for empirical contributions to the disciplines of time-series analysis and macroeconomic forecasting.  Prior to co-founding Stategy Capital, has was Senior Economic Advisor to former Governor of Colorado, global macro fixed-income strategist at Putnam Investments, and co-founder of Clear Future, a boutique economic advisory firm.  Daniel has advised central banks, investment management firms, and NGOs such as the International Monetary Fund in the areas of macroeconomic forecasting, portfolio construction, and modeling FX, interest rate, and commodity markets.

Daniel holds a Ph.D. in Mineral and Energy Economics from the Colorado School of Mines with an emphasis in time-series econometrics.  He also holds an M.S. in Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines, an M.A. in Economics from Depaul University, and a B.B.A in Economics from the University of Iowa Henry B. Tippie School of Business.
