Daniel Jerrett, Ph.D

bio

Dan is a Founder, Managing Principal and Chief Investment Officer at Stategy Capital.  Daniel has 19 years of experience helping organizations implement and improve applied quantitative modeling initiatives.  He is a recognized expert in time-series analysis and macroeconomic forecasting.  He has worked as a fixed-income analyst at Putnam Investments, Senior Economic Advisor to former Governor of Colorado, Bill Ritter, and co-founded Clear Future, a boutique economic advisory firm.  Daniel has advised central banks, investment management firms, and NGOs such as the International Monetary Fund in the areas of macroeconomic forecasting, portfolio construction, and modeling FX, interest rate, and commodity markets.

Daniel holds a Ph.D. in Mineral and Energy Economics from the Colorado School of Mines with an emphasis in time-series econometrics.  He also holds an M.S. in Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines, an M.A. in Economics from Depaul University, and a B.B.A in Economics from the University of Iowa Henry B. Tippie School of Business.

Daniel values curiosity and life-long learning.  He continues to be active in academia, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in econometrics and forecasting at the University of Colorado Denver School of Business.  In addition, he sits on the Business School’s J.P. Morgan Commodity Center advisory board helping develop curriculum in the areas of data analytics, trading, and risk management.
